i mentioned last week that sunni & i had tickets to see death cab this past weekend. we had such a good time! i made her her favorite meal on saturday night, we had brunch at kingfish on sunday, did lots of shopping & then headed to marymoor park for the show...

light summer recipe

as all of you know, i love giada... how could you not? she makes the most lovely food and she's also very easy on the eyes! i came across this recipe of hers & want to leave work right now to start making it. it sounds amazing, nice & light with yummy fresh seafood.

i am very excited to be going down to seattle to stay with my sister for a fun filled weekend. i want to hit up forever to get some summery stuff. we will also be going to kingfish for some brunch on sunday. the biggest plans for the weekend... seeing death cab at marymoor park, could not be more excited!
since sunni is moving back to town i was thinking of making her a final dinner at her apartment. this is her favorite meal that i make so i was thinkin bout surprisin her! i do change it up a bit and add some italian sausage. giada made it as a side but i wanted to make it more of a meal.

my PIC (partner in crime) sunni aka: my sissy and i love all the same music... which is great for me because none of my friends enjoy the same stuff i do. meaning that when my fav bands come to town i know the first person i will tell. we always make sure to take a photo of ourselves at the show for sappy sentimental value. here we are at the metric show june 4th... usually i smile but i was excited i guess. this sunday sunni & i will be attending death cab at marymoor park... stay tuned for the pictures!

i was scanning the internet universe as usual, when one day i came upon a website that i am in love with! gala is amazing. i find thee best ideas, cool fashion stuff, links to other amazing sites and many words that inspire me to smile and spread the lurve (as she would say).


every thursday gala does TiLT's, which stands for: things i love thursday. she writes a list, from the previous week, of all the rad stuff that happened to her. how great is that?! it's so easy to get caught up in the stress of work, or complaining about traffic or the economy, etc... by making a list of the stuff that actually makes you smile is a great way of switching the focus back to the positive. in fact, nelly and i make our own lists and share them with eachother.

for as long as i can remember i have loved fashion... i remember loving madonna so much that i would dress up like her and walk around my neighborhood. outfit highlights: my moms white heels with lace overlay, lace fingerless gloves, hair in a side pony & jelly bracelets...
when i was in high school i had stacks of magazines in my room that dated back about 3 or more years. i could not get rid of them, i even cut out pictures of my favorite models and used them as wallpaper. let's face it, the models of the 90's were so hot!
i think the only thing stopping me from being a full blown fashionista is lack of moo-lah. i have a wishlist right now that is HUGE. some of the price tags would scare you...

any given wednesday

wednesday's are our "girls nights". the usual suspects are angela, brie and myself although we like to have as many of our friends with us as possible. tonight i have talked the girls into going here . i am very excited to have two of my favorite things: pizza & a beer. being the "man with a plan" kind of girl i already know what i will be enjoying... the mushroom pizza! i can not wait.
